We are very proud to let everyone know that Roto-Rooter will be featured in an upcoming episode of the CBS TV show, Undercover Boss. Roto-Rooter Services Company’s President and Chief Operating Officer, Rick Arquilla, went undercover last month doing some of the dirtiest jobs at Roto-Rooter branches in New Orleans and Chicago.
About the Show
Undercover Boss is a reality series that follows high level corporate executives as they slip anonymously into the rank and file of their own companies. Each week, a different executive will leave the comfort of their corner office for an undercover mission to examine the inner workings of their corporation. While working alongside their employees, they will learn about themselves, the effects their decisions have on others, where the problems lie within their organization, the perception of their company and discover the unsung heroes of their work force. Air date is still to be determined, but Undercover Boss airs Sunday Night at 10pm on CTV.

Fat & Grease Makes Pipes & Drains Skinny.
Drain Tip: To help prevent clogs in the kitchen sink, avoid disposing of cooking fats, oils and greases down the drain. Liquid fats solidify and build up in pipes and drains, especially in colder winter months and create sticky clogs, trapping food waste and other items that occasionally get washed down the drain. Pipes become narrower as the sludge builds up, restricting water flow, leading to smelly odours, slow running drains, clogs and messy backed up sinks.
Instead, pour hot fats and greases into a cup or bowl until they harden. Then simply wipe out the congealed grease with a paper towel and dispose of it in the garbage can or green bin as directed by municipal recycling guidelines.
